Secure Online Ordering

When you reach the point at which sensitive information needs to be passed to us, you will see a padlock at the bottom of your browser window, and may see a popup window telling you that you are entering a secure area. Clicking on the padlock will give you information about the secure area, where your credit card details are processed and encrypted. The certificate can only be signed by trusted organisations and guarantees a high level of security.

Payment

We use our own secure server who provide all the security required for the transmission and storage of card details using SSL, encryption minimum 40 bit and firewalls. This encryption is shown by a padlock icon in your browser. This icon appears whenever card details are to be transmitted.

Protection

When you submit card details the information will be encrypted before leaving the computer and remain encrypted until it received by our secure payments provider. Then you will receive an order thank you message on screen, and via email.

Cookies

Cookie are plain text files which are stored on your computer for the duration of your session at Garden Centre Direct. These are used to track the contents of your shopping basket, and if you register, to let you stay logged in. Cookies cannot contain malicious code or be run on your computer and therefore there are no security worries in enabling these in your internet browser.
