Like most people, I conducted a hunt on the internet for a log cabin with good specs and great value in mind. Gardenbuildings direct came up with the goods! This log cabin is the best value, well produced, free delivery and a veranda thrown in for free! Not many others can offer all this for the money. The delivery was exceptional, quick (30 minutes at the most) and he brought his own forklift to off-load it from his lorry and place it where you wanted it - no need to have extra people waiting around or do their back in. The erection of the cabin was fairly easy. First you must sort out all the pieces, and work your way up following the pictures - counting the boards as you go. It does help to `blow up` the diagramme to help see the small numbers which you then refer to the list of items sheet. We found it best to put damp course strips on top of the concrete and under the base boards. We decided to spray paint the cabin once erected as it is a very long job hand painting it. The only downside was putting the tonge and groove boards on the roof. They did not slot in and we ended up sanding the "insert" edge of each board (quite a few hours work here but worth the effort as it avoids tempers flying and falling out with your partner!). It took 2 of us about half a day to erect the cabin and another day to do the roof and felt. I notice a few sites actually show a step by step guide/photos on erecting a log cabin which might prove a useful addition to your web page for future buyers. The finished article is a great looking log cabin - highly recommended. We are using ours to keep a small pool table and gym equipment in. Many thanks to Gardenbuildings direct on a great product.

I`m very pleased with my Winchester log cabin. I think its excellent value as I had researched several before deciding on this one. Excellent quality and the assembly guys were fantastic and very worth while paying for! I`m now in the process of decorating the cabin and already I have compliments from neighbours and friends. Thank you for arranging special delivery underneath our 10`6" restrictive height bridge! Rachel.

Delivery was at 7am to the front of the house which is ok but I was going to build it at the back of the house. it took me around 5hrs to lunp it up to the garage on my own, as they told me it was a kerbside delivery.lucky for the garage because i was told on the friday 19th Oct that it`s being delivered on Mon 22nd which was not much time to sort the base. Anyway all the bad commits out of the way. I bought the Winchester 5m by 5m cabin and it took me 2 days to build with some help with the windows and the apex parts as they are to heavy on your own. Two people should put it up in a day, sorry one more gripe, there were no clout nails with the roof shingles. A few quid sorted that out.I`ve given it 3 good soakings of a good 5* treatment so i see at least 15yrs out of it. It looks ab fab out of my bedroom window. Put the gym up all the kids big toys, computer desk with t.v. and hi-fi and it`s still got lots of space. For the size and thickness of the cabin I could`nt find any cheaper. With the verander 5m by 1.5 m on top of that it`s a bargain. Can`t wait for the summer to test it out with a few friends round for a b b q and drinks. 1st one on you. Cheers.
