The Chamonix Garden Offices all uses an alpine styled roofline adding character and a practical front overhang. The Chamonix Garden Office ranges from the smallest size suiting 2 to 3 people, up to the largest size suiting 5 to 6 people to work comfortably. The added bonus of the construction method of interlocking timbers is to add flexibillity in the door and window positions, ensuring that this building is assembled to suit the needs of you the customer.

Overview

The Chamonix Garden Office is available in 3 sizes constructed from 28mm Interlocking timbers, Tongue and groove floor and roof complete with a semi Glazed double door and 3 opening windows. The Chamonix can be assembled in a number of different styles, interchanging the plain side and window side and reversing the front door and window positions. These buildings use 28mm thick timbers which are a perfect base platform fit for purpose or perfect for customising further to exactly how you require, from running electricity from the house to carpeting the floors. We have highlighted the main areas that can be enhanced over a period of time or at assembly based on customer questions and our years of experience in the garden buildings market.

Electrical Supply: The best method for powering the log cabin is to consult an electrician, who can best advice on taking the existing supply from your house and running it down the garden to your office. This can then power lighting, wall heaters and computers etc.

Cabin Insulation: The 28mm Cladding offers an increased level of insulation to the 19mm buildings providing a warm enough environment during the warmer months, as the timber is a good heat insulator. Although in order to use all year round an additional heating source will be required. In addition to this such additions can be added, such as under-floor heating, roof insulation or increasing the wall cavity. In the case of the wall cavity it is best to create a free standing internal structure that will still allow the logs to move, or fix each board to the baton to ensure that no board moves.

Glazing Modification: The building comes with Styrene as standard, but there is no reason why a local glazer could not be contacted to install glass. We offer styrene due to the issues of distributing glass over long distances causing breakages. Beading is supplied with this building which could be used to hold a single pain of toughened glass.

Further Bolstering the Floor: The floor is sturdy for most uses, but for everyday extended use we would recommend reinforcing the floor further, simply by the addition of extra bearers. Increasing the number of bearers ensures that the T&G floor is bridging a smaller gap and therefore substantially stronger at little cost. In addition the putting down of carpet or laminate flooring may add a more solid and luxurious feel underfoot.

Added Security Due to the nature of an office requiring a computer we understand that security is paramount for the peace of mind with computers and electronic items. A simple addition is the use of blinds ensuring no one can see what is inside. In addition more substantial locks , Security lights, Alarms, etc can all be acquired from local DIY stores.

Treatment and Finishing: Due to the building coming in a natural finish these is a completely blank canvas to either paint, varnish or apply treatments to the building. Customise the building aesthetically how you see fit to suit your own tastes. Check out our treatment options including; Cedar Red, Dark Brown, Harvest Gold and Evergreen.

Standard Features

The Chamonix Garden Office's are all packed with standard features which enable this product to suit most requirements or equally provide a superb base to customise and enhance further over time. The main design features are the practicality of the alpine styled roof line, which gives the building a distinct external and a spacious function internal space.

28mm Interlocking Wall Boards – Single T&G boards provide increased strength, a more solid wall structure than the 19mm wall cladding with additional framework either for a standalone structure, or to add to depending on requirement.

Interlocking Construction – The Interlocking building method provides rigidity and strength as each board holds the previous board in place. This also allows flexibility in the window layout, making many styles possible from one product.

11mm T&G Floor Boards - The floor is constructed of 11mm Tongue and Groove Boards fixed to pre-cut Roof Purlins.

11mm T&G Roof Boards - The roof is constructed using 11mm Tongue and Groove boards nailed into place on pre-cut roof purlins.

Styrene Glazed Doors/Windows - There are 3 Windows, which are bottom opening windows constructed with integral Georgian styled glazing bars. Glazing comes as a single sheet for ease of assembly.

Semi Glazed Style Double Door - These provide plenty of light with integral Georgian glazing bars as standard, while adding security with a boarded section. Styrene Glazing comes as a single sheet for ease of assembly can be upgraded by any glazer to single glazed toughened glass.

Alpine Styled Roof Line - Roofline similar to alpine traditional chalets and ski lodges.

Roofing Felt as Standard - The BillyOh Chamonix Home Office's all come as standard with all felt covering and fixings as standard at no extra cost. The felt used is a green mineral felt which is of higher grade than cheaper felt types such as sand felt.

Designed and Made in England - The BillyOh Chamonix Home Office's have all been designed using state of the art software in the UK and manufactured in our own UK based factory. This ensures that our product knowledge is high and our delivery lead times are kept low.

Chamonix: Number of Desks:

The Chamonix Value Office is big enough for up to 2 people. The Chamonix Office is big enough for up to 4 people. The Chamonix Extra Office Value is big enough for up to 6 people. These are based on a comfortable storage and useable space.

28mm Wall Timber Thickness:

The BillyOh Chamonix Home Office uses 28mm Pre-machined T&G boards. These are cut to length so require no additional customisation or cutting to size.

Interlocking Construction:

The timber uses an interlocking style, where each board is held in place by the next this adds to the rigidity of the building and allows the timbers to move naturally. The added benefit of this feature is that the door and window position is flexible.

The manufacturing and design all take place in the UK by trained professionals with years of combined experience. The wall timbers are complimented with framing for rigidity and floor and roof panels are made to measure.

Building Versatility:

The building internals can be easily transformed to suite up to 3 users comfortably, allowing a many different office layouts. The different styles allow flexibility to suite most garden styles with the side window being able to go on the left or the right side, the door and front window positions to be reversed.

Semi Glazed Double Doors:

The BillOh Chamonix is supplied with a semi glazed double door as standard. The door is constructed with a half boarded section for security and glazed section with integral Georgian bars. The glazing as standard is Styrene, but this could be upgraded to toughened glass by any local glazer.

Bottom Opening Windows:

The BillOh Chamonix is supplied with 3 bottom opening windows constructed with integral Georgian window bars. All fixings and beading is provided; the standard glazing is Styrene, but this could be upgraded to toughened glass by any local glazer.
